On November 9, the DGA-Producer Pension and Health Plans (DGA-PPHP) hosted a free health fair and flu shot clinic in the Grand Lobby of DGA Headquarters in Los Angeles. The half-day event featured DGA-PPHP staff, as well as representatives from the Motion Picture and Television Fund, Express Scripts, Delta Dental, and the Vision Service Plan who presented information and answered member questions on how to use the Plans’ many benefits. The flu shot clinic was free for both Health Plan participants and non-covered members, with the DGA Foundation funding the cost of flu shots for participants not covered under the Health Plan. The Actors Fund presented a seminar with information about signing up for health insurance through the new Covered California Health Insurance Marketplace. The fair also featured a raffle where attendees were able to win a brand new iPad and other prizes.
