Director Raymond De Felitta (City Island) discussed how he followed the path set by his father in his new documentary Booker’s Place: A Mississippi Story. The film reveals how in 1965 Frank De Felitta changed the life of an African-American waiter and his family while filming a documentary in Mississippi; and how in 2011, his son Raymond returned to examine the repercussions of that encounter. Raymond De Felitta discussed the film with director David Zellerford (Memphis: The Promised Land) after the DGA screening in New York on November 14. After the Los Angeles screening on November 21, Raymond was joined onstage by his father, director Frank De Felitta (Scissors), during a discussion moderated by director Randal Kleiser (Red Riding Hood).
